Malaysia, Truly Asia!

Today marks a new year in the Chinese Lunar Calendar. Often the upcoming year is welcomed by identifying the new 'animal' that represents the year and the fortunes and misfortunes that the new year has in store for you. This year we enter the year of the Rooster, though I have yet to learn what this year may bring for me - the Dragon.

In true Malaysian spirit, the Chinese New Year is celebrated by all walks of life. Today, Azad, Dil, Mafiz n Myself took that connotation to a higher level. Today the Malays (that's us) celebrated the Chinese New Year by taking a hike up an Indian place of worship. ThatÂ’s right, for whatever reason, we went up Batu Caves..

It was made out to be quite a challenge in our quest to beat the bulge, but as it turned out, it really made a jog round the Kiara track feel like a marathon. So, in the end we ended up appreciating the natural beauty, taking pics (I especially enjoyed the monkey pics) and after completing our conquest of BC, ended up in Mohsin for some roti canai..

We later adjourned to Nurleena's home, to say hello to her mom.. (and of course to wake Nurleena up, hehe..) All in all, great way to celebrate the new year. Gong Xi Fa Chai!

And don't forget, tomorrow we celebrate another new year - Awal Muharram. Is this place great or what?

(try and spot two lost souls in the pic..)
